Straw-Clay Dojo

We are in the process of retrofitting the 24x46 aspen post and beam framed martial arts platform at the Spring Green Zen Dojo into a year-round meditation and martial arts facility.  We are employing a light straw-clay infill method developed by Lou Host-Jablonksy and his team at Design Coalition in Madison to make our insulated, plaster-ready exterior walls.  Site sawn oak will form the interior flooring and ceiling with stabilized earthen plaster as the durable interior wall finish.  More photos as the project progresses.
